With a multi-state presence and a small company feel, our mission is to provide opportunities for our people, take care of our customers, and be good stewards of the environment and our community.Position DescriptionWe are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanic to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining and servicing a wide range of fleet vehicles and equipment, including diesel/gas trucks, commercial mowers, and two-cycle equipment. Candidates with practical experience in these areas are highly encouraged to apply.Primary ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipmentPerform mechanical work on a variety of assets, including power equipment, mowers, trucks, trailers, and other landscape toolsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop areaEnsure consistent upkeep and preservation of fleet vehicles and landscaping equipmentAccurately document and maintain service and repair recordsProvide exceptional internal customer service, prioritizing efficiency, quality, and communicationAssist with other operational tasks as assignedQualificationsMinimum of 1 year of hands-on mechanical experienceMust possess a personal, comprehensive set of tools required to perform daily mechanical tasks efficiently and safely Strong mechanical aptitude, especially with gas/diesel vehicles and landscaping equipmentPositive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the organizationExcellent communication and organizational skillsHigh attention to detail and commitment to safety and qualityExperience with diesel engines and bilingual ability (English/Spanish) are preferred but not requiredWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly wagesOn-the-job training and ongoing professional developmentPaid time off (PTO)Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement savings plan with company matchA flexible work-life balance and year-round employmentSupportive, family-oriented company cultureRuppert Landscape is an Equal Opportunity and E-verify Employer.
