Engineering Technician

Civiltec Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Engineering Observer/Technician to support our electrical engineering team from design phase to construction phase of projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring quality, compliance, and successful project execution by serving as a key liaison between engineering, project management, and field operations.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in construction meetings and collaborate closely with project managers and contractorsReview and provide feedback on contractor submittals for electrical equipment and instrumentationEvaluate and respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFIs)Conduct site visits and observations to verify compliance with plans and specificationsDevelop and manage final project punch listsPerform constructability reviews and quality assurance (QA) checks on project plans and specificationsJourneyman Electrician Certification (highly preferred)1-3 years of experience with electrical installations and equipment in industrial or commercial environmentsWorking knowledge of construction processes, electrical systems, and field coordinationStrong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills
