This person will work closely andcommunicate with the logistics, sales, inside sales, shipping/receiving, QA departments andoutside carriers. This position requires the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentindustry, be positive, enthusiastic, self-motivated, take initiative, and have a team playerattitude. This position will operate from the scale office, and is responsible for the gross/tareweighing of all trucks carrying feedstock materials entering CT Polymers properties. Handles dispatch with contractors, company drivers and partner carriers.to appropriatelocations per customer/CT request in an efficient and cost effective manner. Handle all Weigh Station duties for inbound and outbound freight Using freight booking platforms and load boards to book freight. Work closely with logistics team, production, and warehouse to arrange loading timeswith carriers ensuring trucks are loaded on time. Establish relationships with drivers and vendors. Enter orders into company calendar/scheduling program Proactively track shipments and alert accounting/managers/vendors for anticipatedscheduling delays. Maintain strong relationship and communication with drivers Serve as a reliable point of contact to balance drivers health and safety with customerrequirements. Coordinate and manage the most efficient loads to maintain cost-effectiveness as acompany. Proficient in Computer Technology, ability to learn company-specific programs, andaccess GPS monitoring programs. Ensure delivery appointments are booked per customers’ requirements. Ensure trucks are onsite at customer locations on time for delivery appointments and aredelivered with clear bills. Source & obtain delivery documents once trucks have delivered to verify accuracy of shipment and forward to appropriate department. Adheres to all domestic and international shipping regulations and compliance. Follows all ISO procedures and Policies related to Logistics.Requirements Grade 12 or equivalent Fundamental knowledge of transportation, routing, and geography in US Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Drive. Ability to professionally communicate with customers, OTR drivers, internallogistics/CSR, vendors, and external dispatchers. Ability to work both individually and as a part of a team. Fluent in both verbal and written English. Excellent organizational capacity Research and Analysis Skills Mathematical Aptitude Negotiating SkillsWorking Conditions Weigh Station Office Occasional Hot and Cold conditions Busy/Active traffic environment, focus is critical Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
