The Bilingual Instructional Preschool Teacher Assistant supports a Christ-centered, language-intensive early childhood classroom. Working closely with the Lead Teacher, this role provides instructional, language, and classroom support for dual-language learners in English and Spanish while fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport small-group and one-on-one instruction in literacy, numeracy, and language developmentReinforce lesson objectives in English and SpanishAssist with daily classroom routines, transitions, and supervisionPromote positive behavior, social-emotional development, and Catholic valuesHelp prepare instructional materials and maintain an organized classroomCommunicate with students and families in English and SpanishSupport family engagement and school eventsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; degree in Early Childhood Education preferredFluency in English and SpanishExperience in a preschool or early childhood settingCommitment to Catholic education and inclusive practicesAdditional RequirementsAbility to lift up to 25 pounds and move throughout the school campusAvailability for occasional evenings/weekends with advance noticeCompletion of Archdiocesan background checks and Safe Environment TrainingThe Archdiocese of Chicago offers a comprehensive total rewards package to include competitive compensation and benefit programs.
