Senior BA Consultant (Data Analytics - Functional)LocationNew York, NYOnsite FlexibilityRemoteContract DetailsPosition Type: ContractContract Duration: 6 monthsPay Rate: $75.86 / Hour (USD)Hours Per Week: 40 hours per weekWork Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Job SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Business/Data Analyst Contractor with SAP and Cloud-Data experience who will be responsible for eliciting business needs, performing detailed analysis and documentation, modeling processes, evaluating impacts, prioritizing business requests, and partnering with project teams to ensure the successful delivery of new Cloud-Data Lake capabilities in support of various applications.Key ResponsibilitiesSolve complex business problems utilizing business process redesign and cloud computing technologies.Assess AS-IS processes and develop new processes and/or business flows to leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) capabilities of Software-As-A-Service (SAAS).Consult with the data engineering team and functional unit owners (Finance, Sales, Supply Chain) and document a gap analysis of capabilities, requirements and needs against technology.Maintain deep understanding of the business process in FICO (Finance), MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales), and PP (Production Planning).Apply business process re-engineering methodologies for systems modernization.Develop new standard operating procedures documentation and a handbook for Data Lake.Prepare and present findings, recommendations, new operating models, and new workflows in consultation with the data engineering team.Create methodology to measure process performance against established metrics.Complete assignments with the ability to work on 1 3 projects simultaneously.Understand business needs and requests, identify solutions, gather information, and translate business needs into documented artifacts that are understandable to business and IT personnel alike.Work with business users to analyze processes and system issues and turn them into actionable system changes that benefit the requesting party(s), improve efficiency in operations and overall performance.Collaborate with project teams and business partners during project planning, incremental software delivery reviews, and User Acceptance testing to ensure the software has been implemented based on specifications.Education RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related majorsCertified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar certification (preferred)Required ExperienceMinimum 5 7 years of progressive hands-on SAP techno-functional experience with strong understanding of SAP datasets like Sales, Purchasing, Material management, and Integrated Business Planning (IBP)10 years of IT experience, preferably in enterprise Business-to-Business durable goods, construction, or building materials manufacturing10 years of experience in systems analysis, data analysis and design with proven record of successful large scale project implementationsAbility to direct the team to map SAP datasets in a non-SAP cloud platform (e.g., for Sales Datasets modeling of Sales Orders with Invoices, shipment, Master data, etc.)Responsibility for writing the functional specifications of the data sets createdLiaison with the SAP ERP team to bridge the functional needs (role is with the Data team)Required SkillsVery strong communication skills (verbal and written) with ability to communicate effectivelyStrong collaboration skillsVery strong customer focus and client interface skills with ability to interact with business users and focus on customer needsStrong skills in building working relationshipsStrong planning, organizing, and follow-up skillsStrong attention to detailTime managementMeeting facilitationStrong relationship management skills with ability to interact well with all levels of management, quickly and effectively build credibility and relationshipsDeep technical knowledge of SQL and CDS views, including experience in designing, joining, and analyzing complex data structuresExperience in SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodology, including eliciting and documenting user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog management, and Sprint reviewsModeling experience (e.g., process flows, use cases, swim lane diagrams, AS-IS / TO-BE diagrams, mock-ups/wireframes)Knowledge of Information Security AwarenessUnderstanding of web applicationsPreferred SkillsExperience in Google Cloud technologyExperience in data modelingExperience in process re-engineeringExperience in JiraBenefitsMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the ClientLeading roofing manufacturer in North America offering high-quality products and exceptional customer service.
