From advocating for seat belts, air bags and graduated driving laws, to being an industry leader in pricing sophistication, telematics, and, more recently, device and identity protection.Job ResponsibilitiesParticipate in iteration planning meetings to ensure a shared understanding of user stories and team backlog itemsEngage in daily standups (site, cross-site, and product teams) and practice paired programming and test-driven development as part of daily workContribute to retrospectives by identifying opportunities for process or product improvementCollaborate in designing systems and applications that meet technical and business requirementsEstablish and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment practicesProvide production support for software products in user environmentsServe as a subject matter expert within a specific business domain, demonstrating leadership and accountability across teams and forums (including ECC and SWAT calls)Participate in knowledge sharing and contribute to the overall technical growth of the teamCoach and mentor junior engineers on software development best practices and XP methodologiesEssential Skills3-4+ years of software development experience (preferred)3+ years of experience hands-on experience developing software using Java and J2EE1+ year applying Test Driven Development (TDD) and Extreme Programming (XP) practices within an Agile environmentStrong understanding of computer science concepts and object-oriented design principlesFamiliarity with continuous integration and DevOps tools such as IntelliJ IDEA, GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Gradle, or MavenProficiency in testing tools such as Postman, Bruno, or SoapUIExperience with quality and security scanning tools such as Sonar, Fortify, or ContrastWorking knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka or similar technologiesAbility to write clean, maintainable, and secure code aligned with industry best practices, which can include debugging and monitoring.CompensationCompensation offered for this role is 90,700.00 - 153,925.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.Joining our team isn't just a job — it's an opportunity.
