Salary: $110,000 - $200,000 + equity
About the Role:
I'm hiring for a Mechanical Engineer at an early-stage robotics company building physical automation systems for life science labs. The company recently closed a $52M Series A backed by leading investors, with a major pharmaceutical partner already signed on. They've scaled from building units individually to batches of a hundred, and are now hiring ahead of the next order of magnitude in production volume.
What You'll Do:
- Design, test, and iterate on mechanical systems and hardware prototypes
- Create detailed CAD designs and production-ready drawings
- Develop robotic solutions for automating lab equipment and protocols
- Own hardware through the full cycle — from prototype to production at scale
What We're Looking For:
- 1-7 years of hands-on mechanical design experience post-graduation
- Track record of designing and shipping physical hardware to production, not concept-only or CAD support
- Experience at an early-stage or small team environment
- Proficiency in a professional CAD package
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability
- Portfolio demonstrating hardware you've built and testedBS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
