Service Controls Technician
JOB SUMMARY:Perform start-up functions on selected systems based on project plans, specifications, and other contract documents. Provide analysis of building control system performance at an individual building level. Ensure documentation is accurate and complete. Provide project-engineering support as required.Duties And ResponsibilitiesControl program use, including: Trend Logs, Zones, Alarms, Reports, Back up, Graphics, minor DDC code modificationsCheckout of DDC (Direct Digital Control) componentsStart-up of Building Control SystemsCommissioning of Building Control SystemsRecord and update drawingsExecute field changes/directivesTroubleshoot component and equipment problemsTraining (Owner and peer)Assist Project Engineer with field tasks/coordinationPanel ConstructionField Documentation (As Build drawings, Check-out sheets, UL Panel Tags)Manage time to complete assignments on time and within budgetSkills And AbilitiesProven troubleshooting skillsComputer hardware and software skillsKnowledge of DDC Control Theory and ApplicationsAbility to work independently and unsupervisedExcellent interactive skillsSolid communication skillsWork Environment And Physical DemandsThis position requires consistent physical work at a project jobsite, spending most of your time on your feet. Project jobsites present typical construction and outdoor conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment for safety purposes. Lifting and exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently is required. Must be comfortable climbing a ladder regularly.
