Security Officer/GuardGuard or patrol premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. Checking I.D. to verify that all guests are at least 21 years of age. This position requires you to be mobile for the entire shift (8-10 hours). This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Gaming Support license from the State of Colorado Division of Gaming.
High school diploma or equivalent. Short-term on-the-job training.
Knowledge of public safety and security. Knowledge of the I.C.M.Ps to assure compliance with State laws and the Colorado Limited Gaming Act.
Basic skills include active learning, active listening, critical thinking, learning strategies, monitoring, reading comprehension, speaking, writing, social skills, coordination, instructing, negotiation, persuasion, service orientation, and social perceptiveness. Other duties as assigned.
Physical demands involve constant brisk walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, kneeling, squatting, pushing, and standing for entire work shift, with standard breaks. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work environment involves working in a casino environment, which contains loud noise.
