Accounting Bookkeeper

Job Description Forsyth Building Company of Anniston seeks an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Bookkeeper to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to oversee all bookkeeping duties in the future. The role involves managing accounts receivable and payable, payroll, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and insurance audits. This full-time position works Monday through Friday with minimal overtime, providing competitive pay and benefits including BCBS Insurance, a 3% IRA match, and PTO.ResponsibilitiesManage accounts receivable and accounts payableProcess payroll and prepare quarterly and annual payroll reportsPerform bank reconciliations and insurance auditsPrepare monthly financial statements and reportsUtilize Sage and Microsoft Excel for bookkeeping tasksMaintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy in all bookkeeping dutiesReport to the Accounting ManagerRequired QualificationsMinimum 2 years of bookkeeping experienceProficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll softwareExperience with bank reconciliations and financial reportingStrong attention to detailAbility to maintain confidentialityPreferred QualificationsAssociate's Degree in Accounting or related fieldCompany Description Great Atmosphere, small office environment, steady work.
