Job Description10 plus years of progressive Accounting & Finance experienceVenteon Finance is currently seeking a Director of Accounting for a leading services company located in the Metro-Detroit, MI area. This role will be responsible for leading a high-performing North American Corporate Accounting team through a period of significant finance transformation. This remote role champions process redesign, drives adoption of advanced technology, and ensures accurate, compliant accounting standards in a publicly traded environment.Requirements of the Director of AccountingBachelor s degree in accounting or finance (required); Master s/MBA preferredActive CPA license12+ years of progressive accounting experience5+ years in management/leadershipExperience at publicly traded companies with SEC reporting, SOX complianceDemonstrates deep knowledge of U.S. GAAPERP implementation experienceStrong project management, change leadership, and stakeholder communication skillsResponsibilities of the Director of AccountingOversees accounting operations (monthly/quarterly/annual close, complex analyses, reconciliations, and audits).Drives the implementation and optimization of ERP and related tech platformsLeads teams through organizational change, process redesign, and system implementation.Champions technology adoption and continuous process improvement.Maintains audit readiness and strong internal controls during transformation.Serves as a primary contact for business units, executives, auditors, and external partners.Provides clear communication of complex accounting matters to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.If you are a high performer and would like to work for an equally high performing company and you think the above opportunity is appropriate for you, we invite you to apply to this job and email your resume to ppirrone@venteon.com.We treat all resumes with strict confidentiality.
