As a WBENC-certified company, we take pride in fostering an inclusive work environment that emphasizes growth, offers competitive benefits, and champions collaboration.Position SummaryThe Business Development Coordinator is an entry-level role supporting Activate’s new business efforts across outreach, inbound lead management, pitch preparation, and internal coordination.This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is highly organized, articulate, and curious about experiential marketing. The Coordinator plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in helping the Business Development team operate efficiently, ensuring prospects are tracked, materials are polished, and internal teams are aligned for pitch success.This is a support-focused position with growing exposure to client interaction and strategic thinking over time.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Intake & Pipeline SupportMonitor and route inbound leads from website, email, referrals, and industry channels.Maintain CRM accuracy, ensuring clean pipeline tracking and up-to-date opportunity records.Assist in researching prospective clients, industries, and decision-makers.Prepare weekly pipeline updates and reporting summaries.Manage professional client correspondence for inbound inquiries, including timely responses, routing, and scheduling introductory calls.Outreach & Prospecting SupportSupport outbound campaigns via email, LinkedIn, and event follow-up.Build prospect lists aligned with Activate’s target industries.Assist in drafting initial outreach messaging and follow-ups.Track campaign performance and response rates.Pitch & Presentation SupportAssist in the creation of pitch decks and capabilities presentations.Coordinate asset gathering from Creative, Production, and Marketing.Take clear, structured notes in internal prep meetings, client intake calls, and pitch meetings; distribute summaries and track next steps.Help prepare case studies and recap materials.Internal CollaborationCoordinate across Creative and Production teams to ensure pitch timelines are met.Support RFP organization and submission preparation.Maintain organized libraries of past work, case studies, and credentials.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree required.0–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, hospitality, sales, or events.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized with strong attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).Familiarity with LinkedIn and CRM platforms is a plus.Michigan-based preferred (given hybrid collaboration needs).Activate provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, and pregnancy-related conditions), gender identity or expression (including transgender status), sexual orientation, marital status, religion, age, disability, genetic information, service in the military, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws and ordinances.
