This role performs specific field tasks assigned per project by senior staff. Your growth in responsibility will come with time and experience, and the work is field-based with limited office work as experience is gained. An ideal candidate presents a positive customer service attitude and an understanding of ECS Core Values.Key ResponsibilitiesInteract and collaborate with staff members on a variety of projectsAttend project meetings with senior staff and assist with resolutions to technical and administrative problemsBegin to learn about marketing and business development with a focus on building your client database and maintaining regular client contactsBegin to learn how to manage project budgets and the need for change orders. Prepare invoices and assist with collection effortsSchedule, train and oversee subordinate staff membersHave basic ability to prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines; consult with your supervisor to help prioritize tasks on a daily basisDevelop management capabilities of environmental projects, including the application of technical support with supervisory input as neededAssist with preparation of proposals for training and developmental purposesPrepare environmental reports, perform analysis and provide recommendations in collaboration with senior staffHave completed internal Phase I ESA trainingComplete Phase I ESAs under the direction of supervisorPerform site reconnaissance, file review and report preparation accompanied by senior staffPossess acceptable basic technical writing skills with regard to basic conventions of spelling, grammar, and professional content; collaborate with more senior staff to produce reports and work to improve writing skills under the direction of supervisors and Principal reviewersOther duties as assignedQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other Engineering degree applicable to Environmental Consulting, Natural or Environmental Science, Geology, or other degree relevant to the practice of Environmental ConsultingNo experience requiredValid driver's license if driving for or on behalf of ECS subsidiariesSkills and AbilitiesBasic knowledge of environmental principles and applicationsBasic knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methodsInterest in project management, consulting, and business developmentMust be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds a number of times each day and walk on uneven ground through various terrainsMilitary QualificationsE-5ECS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
