UnitedHealth Group offers a portfolio of products that are greatly improving the life of others.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary ResponsibilitiesAccountable to manage and maintain assigned cross-carrier & dedicated UHC client relationships to ensure delivery of OptumHealth solutions and effective product and service expansion to increase revenue potential across large employer clients (commercial employer groups with 3,000+ lives)Identify, develop and manage incremental growth opportunities with existing clients, spanning OptumHealth's capabilitiesAccountable for retention and growth quota of new business with existing clients. Lead the OptumHealth sales process throughout the entire sales life cycle, acting as liaison with internal and external parties as required, negotiating and influencing to ensure achievement of goalsCoordinate and influence superior service to clients by establishing collaborative relationships with intercompany stakeholders across a highly matrixed environmentMonitor client satisfaction and manage key deliverables to sustain and improve client engagement and loyaltyCultivate and deepen complex client relationships at all levels, including senior executivesEstablish and maintain strong and appropriate working relationships with clients, consultants, channel partners and constituentsMonitor and enhance performance of OptumHealth solutions for clients to ensure return on investment, mutual growth/success and client financial performance, including renewal planning, negotiation and profitability levelsBuild knowledge of entire range of OptumHealth capabilities, health care industry and market trends and dynamics facing clients to understand and advise on clients' needs and OptumHealth's value propositionAbility to work independently and as a strong team player, with minimal supervision in a fast- paced, high-intensity environmentCommunicate and present effectively at multiple audiences and levels (listening, written and verbal communication)You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications10+ years of sales or account management experience10+ years of proven experience and expertise in the health insurance, health care, or related industryDirect experience achieving $15M total contract value sales annually for employer clients, across OptumHealth or related health services capabilitiesExperience in contract negotiation, influencing, collaboration, and listening skillsDemonstrated success leading progressively complex consultative sales experience and client relationships, influencing senior level executives, consultants, and partnersAbility to effectively lead the sales process and work cooperatively with extended client team to achieve sales goalsSolid working knowledge of claims, managed care systems, and other industry players including health care tech and major consulting housesAdvanced consultative selling skills with the ability to successfully construct solutions that meet client needs and achieve client objectivesAbility to effectively message, position and present information for client impact and influenceProficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM (ex. Salesforce)Ability to operate and effectively navigate in a highly complex, matrix environment with a high level of collaborationAbility to travel frequently, up to 30% of timeDriver's license and access to reliable transportation Preferred QualificationsSales and account management work experience working in direct, cross-carrier and UnitedHealthcare channelsExperience as a fully-dedicated client executive assigned to complex, strategic clientsSuccessful track record of managing deep client relationships and upselling OptumHealth capabilities in the Employer market with Fortune 500 clientsEstablished relationships with UnitedHealthcare National Markets client team, external consultants and channel partnersAll employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $90,000 to $195,000 annually based on full-time employment. This role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance.
