Job Description: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Charter House (Travel) Location: Rochester, MN Assignment Length: 3 months Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday, day shift Hours: 40 hours per weekPosition Summary The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at Charter House is responsible for supporting the Director of Nursing and supervising the daily nursing operations within Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing. This role plays a key part in ensuring high quality resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and guiding a newer nursing team through process improvements and professional development. Ideal candidates are experienced leaders with strong long-term care backgrounds who can navigate complex environments, mentor less seasoned staff, and support ongoing organizational changes.Key Responsibilities Supervise and support nursing staff within Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing. Assist the Director of Nursing with planning, organizing, and managing clinical operations. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Lead and guide staff through process enhancements and regulatory expectations. Contribute to occupancy growth strategies and staffing plan development. Support ongoing education, training, and scheduling of nursing staff. Promote high standards of resident care and service quality.Required Skills and Experience Minimum of five years of nursing experience. At least two years in a leadership or supervisory role. Strong background in long term care, with familiarity in Minnesota healthcare regulations. Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage complex and demanding clinical situations. Proficiency in staff education, training, and scheduling. Knowledge of quality assurance processes and technology-supported care.Required Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).Preferred Education Master’s degree in nursing, business, or a health-related field.Required Certifications and Licensure Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota.
