Sr PCBA Process Engineer
Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior PCBA Process Engineer located in Milpitas CA .
Reporting to the Director, Operations Engineering , the Senior PCBA Process Engineer be responsible for process‑engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvement to support a PCBA manufacturing organization.
What a typical day looks like:
Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability (dfx study)
Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production
Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters
Troubleshoot process related issues
Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements
Evaluate and select various engineered materials
Implement statistical process reviews on new and existing products
Implement safety, productivity and yield improvements.
Improve manufacturing techniques and throughput.
Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in‑house capabilities
Review processing methods
Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer
Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer
Manage cost improvement/reduction programs
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Process, Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing, Processing
6 years of experience in Engineering in the high Technology electronics industry manufacturing
5 years of manufacturing production and operations
4 years of experience in engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area.
Experience manufacturing technology in a high volume highly automated setting.
Advanced people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
Excellent Excel and PowerPoint spreadsheet (PC), presentation and database software.
