This role plays a critical part in managing the month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting timely reporting that drives informed business decisions.This is an onsite position working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced construction environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCore Accounting FunctionsLead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparationRecord daily, weekly, and monthly financial transactions accurately and timelyExport, compile, and import data into the ERP system to ensure accurate reportingAudit Accounts Payable invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper job cost coding prior to postingAssist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsMaintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), tax regulations, and internal policiesSupport internal and external auditsConstruction & Operational AccountingManage and support job costing processes to ensure accurate project financial trackingMonitor and analyze financial data to identify variances, trends, and opportunities for improvementCollaborate with operations, project managers, and leadership to resolve discrepancies and gather financial dataInventory & Process SupportMaintain accurate inventory records, including setup and tracking within systemsVerify purchase orders are properly allocatedCoordinate and support inventory cycle counts and reconciliationsAdditional ResponsibilitiesSupport Accounts Payable and ensure timely invoice processingAssist with customer cash receipts and reconciliationsProvide accurate and timely financial updates to internal stakeholdersQualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field3+ years of accounting experience (construction industry preferred)Strong knowledge of job costingAdvanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data imports/exports)Experience with construction accounting software such as: Sage 300, Viewpoint / Spectrum, Procore or similarStrong attention to detail, organization, and accountabilityAbility to research and resolve issues independently and meet deadlinesPreferredExperience with multi-entity or joint venture accountingExperience with Viewpoint or Spectrum ERP systemsWhy Join Us?Join a growing company where your work directly impacts operations and financial success.
