Our customers and community members know that they can rely on us for Legendary Service and quality products.Job title: Cabinets Contractor SalesSalary: $58,522 - $74,483 depending on experienceSchedule: Monday - Friday, 7am - 5pmLocation: Salem, ORThe Cabinet Contractor Salesperson’s main duty is to take care of both in person and over the phone customers of Parr Cabinets. The Cabinet Contractor Salesperson works closely with customers to create cabinet designs and assist the customer in finding the product that they need. This role is important to the Parr Cabinet Design Centers because the Contractor Salesperson is crucial to providing Legendary Service to customers.The Outside Salesperson directly reports to the Manager. They interact regularly with our clients, Yard Managers, Install team, Cabinet Sales Coordinators, Cabinet Inside Sales members, the Central Purchasing Department, vendor representatives, and industry associates.Duties And ResponsibilitiesOrders cabinet, appliance, countertops, and ancillary items from manufacturersCreate purchase orders using detailed, accurate and effective processesDraw 20/20 layouts for customer approval and quoting purposesArrange delivery of product, working to create customer friendly outcomesWork closely with PARR’s installation group to ensure great customer outcomesAssist in meeting team sales and profit goalsCheck vendor acknowledgements to validate accuracyMake all customers feel genuinely welcome, including greeting customers with a smile and communicating with customers in a friendly mannerEstablish and maintain professional relationships with customers and business associatesQuickly respond to customer complaints and concernsAnswer customers’ questions, process estimates and orders for customer’s, order stock, special order products for customers, and process credit returns, handle appliance repairs and replacements when necessaryAssist Cabinet/Appliance Contractor Sales people in maintaining customer relationshipsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of cabinets’ brands, appliances and selling techniques. Share such information with co-workersEnsures that appropriate paperwork is completed as per company policyFollows all AR account and cash handling proceduresReads blue prints and creates take offsAnswers phone promptly with professional greetingCompletes POs on time, confirms confirmation and tied to orderResponds to emails and voicemails promptlyPerform other related duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredCollege degree preferredMinimum of 3 years of experience in sales or in the building materials industry preferredExperience working with cabinet and appliancesKnowledge of retail and contractor sales principles practices and protocolsExperience in balancing a company’s best interests against customer needs, and working with aggressive sales goalsMust be able to type 40+ WPMProficiency in Word, Excel, and OutlookProficiency in 2020 Design SoftwareMust be able to operate personal computer, telephone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the jobClass C driver’s license and must have and maintain a good driving record requiredMust have a minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or in the building materials industry preferredAbility to speak, write, and read English requiredInterpersonal SkillsAbility to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment, displaying sound judgment in dealing with sensitive business matters with internal and external customers of all typesAbility and willingness to change processes, tools and/or procedures in an effort to improve the workplace and outcomes for our customersAbility to superbly communicate with all levels of management and employees and speak effectively in front of groups – communication can include but is not limited to: in-person verbal and non-verbal, written, e-mail, telephone and public speaking to medium size groupsStrong focus, planning, organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage changing priorities, handle multiple projects, do what is necessary to meet deadlines and adapt to a changing business environmentAbility to function independently and as part of a team with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to excellenceThe ability to adapt quickly to constantly changing circumstancesAbility to appropriately manage stress and interact with othersWorking ConditionsThis position works out of Parr’s Cabinet Design Center.
