Position Type: Student Support Services/Speech and Language Pathologist Date Posted: 4/14/2026 Location: Deerfield Community School Date Available: 08/24/2026 Closing Date: until filled Speech and Language Pathologist Deerfield Community School is seeking a part-time Speech and Language Pathologist to become a member of a highly skilled and dedicated multidisciplinary team for the 2026-2027 school year. Deerfield Community School is a PreK-8 grade school located in Deerfield, NH (SAU #53). This position would work primariliy with students ages 3-6. At Deerfield Community School our staff develops strong relationships not only with our students and parents, but also with the community. Teachers are constantly going above and beyond to meet the diverse needs of their students and to help their colleagues grow through participation in various school groups such as Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), Curriculum Review Board (CRB), and weekly all-staff meetings and professional development opportunities.The successful candidate must be able to administer appropriate evaluations to students identified with or suspected of having speech and lnagugage disabilities needing therapy services. These evaluations must result in comprehensive written reports and verbal presentations at meetings detailing assessment outcomes and recommendations.The speech and language pathologist serves as a collaborative member of the IEP team.In addition, the speech pathologist delivers direct speech and langugage therpay based upon prepared IEP goals and benchmarks. Consultation is also part of the role responsibilities.Strong verbal and written communication skills, good organization/time management, inclusive practices, and knowledge of special education procedures are fundamental. An ablity to plan and deliver speech therpay services to individual students and/or small groups is required. Duties associated with billing for the Medicaid to Schools Program is also needed. Salary and Benefits: Part-time position in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement of the Deerfield Education Association. Qualifications: Current certification as a Speech and Language Pathologist through the New Hampshire Office of Professional Licensure and Certification is required.
