Java Backend Engineer Apex Systems is seeking a Java Backend Engineer to join one of our largest clients on a high profile project!Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Participate in the design, implementation, and testing of distributed systems in an agile environmentComplete research activities for new features and enhancementsContribute to design and code reviewsHelp to monitor and improve production systemsEngage in our engineering culture to consistently deliver value to our customers and businessPreferred Qualifications4-6 years of core java developmentExperience with Spring framework preferably spring bootFamiliarity with GraphQL4 years of experience developing web services or distributed, messaging and event-based systems3 years of experience in agile delivery, especially Scrum, Kanban or Scrumban as well as DevOps.Demonstrated success in distributed systems, especially REST based servicesStrong API design, development, and managementEnthusiasm, curiosity, energy, perseverance and the desire to solve big problemsStrong knowledge of software development theory and practiceA product development agile mindsetExperience with container technologies like DockerRequired Skills: Spring Boot, Java 8+, GraphQL, CI/CD, Cloud, Rest APIs, Microservices, SQL database Basic Qualification: Additional Skills: exclusive to Apex, contact with the hiring managerBackground Check: Yes Drug Screen: Yes Notes: This position is remote during the contract period, but the contractor will be expected to live in Bentonville, AR upon conversion.
