The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between test engineering, diagnostics, and data science, leveraging their semiconductor testing background to extract actionable insights from complex test data to optimize test processes, develop diagnostic tools/tests, and drive quality improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesData Analytics & InsightsAnalyze large-scale semiconductor test data from ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) systemsDevelop predictive models for yield prediction, failure analysis, and reducing quality excursionsCreate dashboards and visualization tools for quality monitoringIdentify trends, patterns, and anomalies in production test data to improve product reliabilityFailure Investigation and DebugAnalyze logs, test results, and system behavior to identify root cause or failure scopeReproduce issues in the lab environment and provide detailed debug informationWork with hardware, firmware, and ASIC teams to drive resolutionTechnical DevelopmentCreate machine learning models for defect classification and outlier detectionAutomate reporting and data quality monitoring systemsUse AI methodologies to enable advanced diagnostics of Astera silicon productsDevelop diagnostic tools and methods to enable faster root cause analysis and automationCustomer FocusProvide customer support on device-related inquiriesGenerate reports relating to internal and external customer requestsWork with customer quality group to support internal and external customersCollaboration & CommunicationPartner with test, product, and reliability engineering teamsPresent findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholdersDocument analytical methodologies and maintain code repositoriesMentor junior team members on analytics best practicesRequired QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or related fieldMaster's degree preferredExperience3-5 years of experience in semiconductor test engineering or test development3+ years of hands-on data analytics experienceKnowledge of ATE platforms (Teradyne, Advantest, Credence, etc.)Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and test methodologiesTechnical SkillsProgramming: Proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages for data analysisData Tools: SQL, pandas, numpy, scikit-learnVisualization: Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, plotly, or similar toolsTest Systems: Experience with test data formats (STDF), test executive softwareThe base salary range is $160,000 USD - $195,000 USD.
