Help our Ninjas (students) build video games.We are now hiring for part-time Code Sensei (STEM Instructor) to join our team immediately! Code Sensei are the lifeblood of our center. Each day you will be responsible for helping to get the center ready for the day (powering up laptops and other tech equipment), working with kids ages and helping them work on our self-paced coding curriculum, addressing any roadblocks that come up for them along the way, and leading them through other STEM activitiesResponsibilities Include Training – go through the curriculum and learn it Create a positive and safe environment in which students can grow Work with children to determine skill sets Provide feedback to parents after working with student who is on a tour Follow opening/closing duties daily Clean dojo throughout the day to ensure cleanliness is kept up to corporate standards Report weekly to Center Director on progress Report daily to Center Director with respect to day’s activities and productivity in dojoQualificationsWorking history with children ages 5 and up (mentoring, coaching, tutoring etc.)Experience working with the general publicExperience in teaching, mentoring or child careWorks well with others; collaboratesKnowledgeable about coding and technology; or able to quickly pick up basic conceptsMust be fun to work with and like working in fast paced environments where requirements can change frequently.Java, JavaScript, Scratch Experience RequiredLAST BUT NOT LEAST MUST HAVE CODING BACKGROUND.Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hourCompensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hourAbout UsCode Ninjas® is the world’s largest and fastest-growing kids coding franchise, with hundreds of locations in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
