With the use of work instructions and drawings the laser operator will accurately and efficiently produce a wide variety of metal parts.Hours: M-Th, 1:30 P.M. - 12:00 A.M.VALUESInnovation Commitment & Passion Integrity Team & Relationships Duties And ResponsibilitiesProduces fabricated parts by following work instructions with the aid of nesting software.Has the ability to fabricate components made of stainless, galvanized, aluminum & mild steel.Can efficiently and accurately operate laser / metal finishing equipment & CNC Press brake.Must be conscientious with handling of product to uphold our internal quality standardsMust understand blue prints, read a tape measure, use a caliper and follow written instructions.Full understanding of the use of nesting software and sheet laser operation.ATTRIBUTESStrong mechanical skillsManage multiple tasks without losing sight of objectivesIndependent, dependable, resourceful, and self-motivatedQualificationsExperience with the use of nesting software;Previous laser, CNC press brake fabrication experience and/or schooling required.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in laser related machining skillsMust have some understanding of metal fabrication concepts and processes;Must possess a keen sense of attention to detail;Must possess the ability to operate tape measure and calipers, hand tools;Must be able to determine material types and gages;Microsoft Office proficient; AutoCAD experience a plus;Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, read a tape measure, follow written instructions;Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 poundsMust possess effective written and verbal communication skills.High school diploma/GED preferredThis position description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. This position qualifies for a shift differential of $3.00 per hour. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs.In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity.
