Locum Tenens Opportunity: Gastroenterology Physician Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens role providing critical weekend call coverage at two busy hospital campuses in Richmond, VA. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment while supporting an essential patient care need during the facility???s transition to long-term staffing. Position Overview: Location: near Dogue, VA Start Date: July 1, 2025 Duration: 3 months Practice Setting: Hospital Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, primarily covering weekends Patient Volume: Approximately 3 patients per shift EMR System: Meditech (transitioning to Expanse) Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive inpatient care to gastroenterology patients. Be available for 24-hour call coverage, focusing on weekends. Perform procedures such as ERCP and EUS as required. Consult and manage emergencies in collaboration with ER staff. Qualifications: Must be Board Certified in Gastroenterology. Possess a current Virginia state medical license. DEA/CSR certification required. Experience with ERCP and EUS procedures is essential.
