Network Install Tech (AWS GovCloud), Central ID - Install Job ID: 10371824 | Amazon Data Services, Inc. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an Install Handoff Technician to join our infrastructure operations team. This position requires successful candidates to report to a site location in Oregon and involves scaling support of several data center locations, assisting in capacity management, and providing day‐to‐day assistance with large‐scale enterprise networks. Key responsibilities Work closely with Network Engineering & Network Technical Project Managers to ensure fast, smooth rollout of designs and products. Collabore with stakeholders to remove project obstacles. Report status via ticketing system, status reports, email, and Slack. Manage work and priorities through ticketing system to complete customer requests and projects. Maintain accurate records, document problems and processes for changes within data centers. Troubleshoot networking, routing, inter‐connectivity issues, including network device configuration. Troubleshoot cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, patch panels and cords. Remediate small‐scale hardware failures related to cabling. Participate in migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware. Exhibit quality workmanship and maintain site cleanliness. Carry a cell phone for communication and emergencies. Up to 50% travel within geographic work area; some travel outside may be requested. Basic qualifications 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience. 1+ year of computer networking experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred qualifications Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
