With a resident-first philosophy paired with a long-term vision approach to our properties.We are hiring for Make Ready Technician who performs general maintenance and repair work to ensure that property facilities and vacated apartments are in good working condition and restored to “make ready” status, preparing the apartment for new residents in a timely manner. What you will do:Complete Make Ready units assigned by Maintenance Manager or SupervisorAssist Maintenance Supervisor with monitoring inventory of parts and supplies and appropriate levelsCommunicate effectively with residents when on-callPerform turnkey workRemove and discard any debris or trash from Make Ready unitsDiagnose problems with household appliances, plumbing, electric, carpentry, and HVAC Performs basic repairs on household appliances, plumbing, electric, carpentry, and HVAC Other tasks or duties may be assigned as needed.Requirements and Qualifications...1-3 years minimum experience required in community management maintenance or other building maintenanceMust obtain and maintain a valid Florida Drivers LicenseMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks, demands, establishing priorities and meeting deadlinesMust be able to use general maintenance equipment, but not limited to, hand tools, ladders, and required safety equipmentExcellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and follow throughBi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plusSkill in the use of computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to set up functions, enter data, and process informationSkill in using mathematics to solve basic problemsSkill in working independently and following through with assignments with minimal directionSkill in adapting to a changing work environment, competing demands and ability to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected eventsBasic ability to operate a computer using Microsoft Office products (Word and Outlook) and learn to use applicable division and organization specific softwareAbility to establish and maintain accurate recordsAbility to review, compile, and organize forms, documents, and related records for efficient processing and proper retrievalAbility to understand and/or communicate effectively in both verbal and written format Ability to follow oral and written instructions and organize work for timely completionSchedule and LocationMonday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pmOn-Call 1 week every 4 weeksMiami Lakes, FLBenefitsMedical, dental and vision insuranceCompany paid life and disability coverage401k plan with 50% match on the first 4% employee contributionPension Plan
