Finance Manager – Creative Production / Experiential | Los Angeles (Hybrid)We’re partnering with a fast-growing creative production business operating at the intersection of design, technology, and live/immersive experiences.This is not a traditional finance role in a corporate or media environment.It sits inside a hands-on, project-driven studio where finance is embedded in the work - from concept through to delivery.The RoleYou’ll act as the commercial finance lead for a creative production business, working day-to-day with producers, creatives, and operations to bring financial clarity to complex, fast-moving projects.This is a front-of-house finance role: less about reporting cycles, more about understanding how creative work translates into revenue, margin, and cash.Key responsibilities include:Owning project-based financials across multiple live and client deliverablesLeading monthly reporting (P&L, cash flow, KPIs) with clear, actionable insightDriving project profitability, job costing, and margin visibilityManaging revenue recognition across milestone / % completion work (ASC 606)Partnering directly with production and client teams to challenge budgets and scopeImproving billing discipline, cash flow, and working capital in a project environmentActing as the bridge between the studio and group/shared financeWhat We’re Looking For5–8+ years’ experience in a hands-on finance role within a creative, production or project-based businessBackground in environments such as:Creative production studiosExperiential / live events agenciesDesign or build-focused creative businessesStrong understanding of:Project accounting / job costingClient billing & revenue recognitionWorking with producers / delivery teamsCommercial mindset — comfortable influencing non-finance stakeholdersSomeone who enjoys being embedded in the business, not operating at arm’s lengthNot the right fit for candidates from:Media buying / performance marketing agenciesLarge, layered network environmentsPure broadcast / studio / TV finance rolesWhy This Role?Work directly with creatives, producers, and leadership — not just financeHigh-impact role shaping how projects are run and measured financiallyExposure to complex, high-value creative workA business that values speed, ownership, and creativity over process for process’ sakeThis role is for someone who enjoys the messy, fast-moving reality of creative production — where no two projects look the same and finance plays a key role in making ideas commercially viable.If you’re coming from a highly structured, media-led or corporate environment, this will feel very different.If you’ve worked in creative studios, experiential, or production-led businesses and enjoy being close to the work, this is exactly that environment.
