Electrical Engineer (Data Centers)TravelApproximately 40%OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to serve as a technical authority across large-scale hyperscale data center developments.This individual will play a critical role in reviewing, challenging, and optimizing electrical designs while helping drive technical decisions throughout the project lifecycle. The position will work closely with consultants, design partners, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, reliably, and in alignment with industry best practices.This is an opportunity for a highly technical electrical engineering professional to influence major data center developments from the owner's side and help establish engineering standards across a rapidly growing portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide electrical engineering leadership across hyperscale data center developmentsReview and evaluate consultant-generated electrical designs and engineering deliverablesIdentify design risks, constructability concerns, and opportunities for optimizationSupport technical decision-making during planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover phasesCollaborate with development, construction, and operations stakeholders to drive project objectivesHelp establish and improve electrical design standards across multiple campusesParticipate in value engineering exercises and technical design reviewsServe as a subject matter expert for medium-voltage and high-voltage electrical infrastructure, critical power systems, and data center electrical architectureSupport project teams in resolving complex technical challengesContribute to long-term campus planning and future development strategiesQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related disciplineStrong experience supporting mission critical or data center projectsDeep understanding of hyperscale data center electrical systemsExperience reviewing and evaluating engineering consultant designsKnowledge of electrical infrastructure including:Utility coordinationSubstationsMedium-voltage distributionSwitchgearUPS systemsBackup generation systemsCritical power distributionExperience working through multiple phases of design development and project deliveryAbility to communicate effectively with consultants, contractors, and executive stakeholdersPreferredExperience supporting large campus-scale data center developmentsProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience developing engineering standards and technical governance processesBackground working in mission critical or data center environmentsCareer GrowthInitially, this position will focus on supporting the delivery of a large hyperscale data center campus.Over time, the role will evolve into a broader technical leadership position supporting multiple developments, influencing future campus standards, and helping shape long-term electrical design strategy across the portfolio.
