Staff Front End Software Engineer
Overview:
In this role, you will help modernize a large-scale Geneva front-end platform using enterprise-grade React and TypeScript apps. You'll collaborate with UX, BA, and QA teams to deliver reusable components, design systems, and high-performance user experiences for investment professionals. You will influence frontend standards, architecture, and delivery across multiple teams, shaping scalable UI solutions. This is a hands-on leadership position in a global, enterprise environment with a strong focus on quality and impact. Responsibilities:
- Develop modular, scalable front-end code for enterprise applications
- Participate in all lifecycle phases: design, research, development, code reviews, deployment, testing
- Deliver excellent user experiences for end users
- Collaborate with UX, Business Analysis, and QA teams
- Contribute to presentation-layer standards and best practices
Key requirements:
- 10+ years of professional web UI/frontend experience
- Proven experience designing and evolving large-scale SPA architectures
- Strong hands-on expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSSSolid understanding of frontend architecture patterns, state management, routing, API integration, performance, accessibility, testing, and web security
- Experience with modern UI frameworks, reusable component libraries, and design systems
- Staff-level technical leadership, including architecture decisions, standards, design and code reviews, mentoring
- Experience defining and evolving frontend architecture and roadmaps across multiple teams
- Experience integrating SPAs with REST or gRPCStrong knowledge of browser internals, rendering performance, memory management, and optimization
- Experience maintaining shared frontend platforms, libraries, and reusable frameworks
- Frontend observability, including logging, metrics, tracing, error monitoring, and performance diagnostics
- Frontend testing strategies across unit, component, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Frontend build systems, dependency management, and delivery optimization (code splitting, lazy loading, bundle optimization, governance)
- Collaboration with UX/design teams to translate design systems into componentsleadership and mentoringcross-functional collaborationstrong communication
