Machine Shop Supervisor - south Seattle WA area - Feb2022 -0913 We are currently working with a client in the south Seattle, WA area who is seeking a Supervisor for their aircraft component manufacturing machine shop. Job details are as follows: Essential Duties of the Job:Responsible for working directly with the Supervisor to help with the department productivity, workload scheduling and work quality. Requires the ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications or equivalent. Sets up, adjusts and checks out programming, and operates numerically controlled machine tools to perform a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring considerable skill. Works from programming instructions, operational data and machine setup instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and console settings, for operations such as bore, mill, drill, face, thread and occasional profiling and contouring. Checks parts for conformance to specifications. Operators may run more than one unit simultaneously. Other duties as assigned by management. Required Experience:5+ years of job related training and experience, including training and experience in machining, or equivalent. Knowledge of Aerospace documentation and dimensioning and be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, parts lists, and specifications. Familiarity with HAAS 3, 4 & 5 Axis, computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tool operating procedures. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite and production software. Qualities Desired: Team-player who can handle working under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Ability to identify problems and offer resolution. Willingness to teach others. Organized and detail oriented Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, sit, squat, kneel and reaching constantly with occasional climbing Able to safely lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds regularly. Vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Read, write, understand and speak English fluently Specialized Training in Supervision or 2+ years experience in a supervisory position.
