Director of Development

MAYA Organization is seeking a part-time (20hr/week) Development Director to build upon and implement a fundraising and marketing strategy to grow the organization’s internal capacities. You will be our sole development staff person, and as such carry the responsibility for managing grants, pursuing contracts, and designing and implementing fundraising campaigns, events, and external messaging. As a core member of the leadership team, you will work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to build the funding infrastructure required for MAYA’s next stage of development.Hours: 20 hours per weekPay: $36 per hourFlexible hours, hybrid work environmentTo start April, 2026Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceAt least 5 years experience in nonprofit fundraisingSkills:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsOrganization and managementStrategic thinking and problem solvingSelf-directed; able to complete projects with minimal supervisionDemonstrated ability to work collaborativelyExperience using fundraising softwareAbility to understand and prepare financial reports and budgets
