Our business processes high volumes of deposits, wagers, credits, service fees, payouts, etc. Precision, control, and financial clarity are critical to our operations.We are seeking an experienced Controller to own the integrity of our financials from end to end.Role OverviewThe Controller will be responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of Players' Lounge's financial operations.You will own the monthly close, manage AP/AR workflows, reconcile high‐volume payment activity, prepare financial reporting packages, and work cross‐functionally with product and data teams to ensure our projections reflect the complexity of the business.This is a hands‐on execution role with direct visibility to the CEO and executive team.Core ResponsibilitiesMonthly Close & Financial ReportingOwn and prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)Ensure all accounts are fully reconciled each monthDeliver clean, accurate financial packages to the CEOProvide variance analysis and explanations as neededAccounts Payable & ReceivableManage AP/AR workflows using platforms such as Bill.comEnsure all vendor payments are reviewed, coded, and paid on timeMaintain accurate expense tracking and documentationOversee collections or receivables as applicablePrepare and issue annual 1099‐MISC formsPayment Processing & Flow of FundsReconcile high‐volume payment processor activity (deposits, withdrawals, refunds, chargebacks)Understand and document flow of funds across platformsIdentify discrepancies immediately and resolve themMonitor processor reserve balances and risk exposureFinancial Forecasting & ModelingWork closely with the data team to prepare detailed financial projectionsTranslate product-level metrics into revenue and cash flow forecastsBuild and maintain rolling forecasts and scenario modelsModel unit economics and margin impactSupport executive‐level planning and decision‐makingLoans & Financial ObligationsTrack loan balances, interest, and payment schedulesMaintain debt amortization schedulesMonitor covenant compliance (if applicable)Ensure all financial obligations are met accurately and on timeCross‐Functional CollaborationPartner with product, data, and executive teams to ensure financial reporting reflects operational realityStay aligned with product updates that impact accounting treatmentSupport investor reporting and ad‐hoc financial requestsQualifications3+ years of accounting experienceExperience in high‐volume transaction environments (fintech, gaming, marketplaces, payments, or similar)Strong understanding of payment processing and chargeback mechanicsExperience reconciling complex flow‐of‐funds structuresExperience owning full monthly closeAdvanced Excel and financial modeling skillsExperience with AP/AR systems such as Bill.comExperience working in a startup or high‐growth environmentDeep attention to detail and obsessive about tying out accountsPreferred:CPA (preferred but not required)Experience with stored value or customer liability accountsExperience preparing investor‐facing reporting packagesLocationFully remote (U.S.-based preferred).#J-18808-Ljbffr
