Radiology - CT Tech

Multi-Modality Technologist Looking for a Multi-Modality Technologist for night shift hours. Maintains active status in the modalities in which they practice. Assists the department coordinator by providing clinical leadership and completing projects. Performs advanced level clinical duties and regular assignments as requested. Competent in all exams performed within the assigned modalities. Corroborates patient clinical history with procedures and ensures documentation is available for the radiologist. Prepares patients for procedures by providing instructions to obtain desired results. Gains cooperation and minimizes anxiety in patients. Selects and operates imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories to successfully perform procedures. Positions patients to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest while respecting patient ability and comfort. Immobilizes patients as necessary. Practices aseptic technique as required. Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate and starts intravenous access. Initiates basic life support actions when necessary. Provides patient education. Provides input for supply and equipment decisions and maintains control of inventory and supplies for assigned area. Provides practical instruction for students and partners. Observes universal protocols, standard precautions, and appropriate patient identifiers.
