They are responsible for leading, managing and continuously developing all aspects of their store's business. They are accountable for creating and maintaining a positive and highly productive work environment that aligns with the company's mission. They will be responsible for consistently achieving sales & profitability goals, operational objectives, merchandising standards and developing a highly successful Sales, Operations, and Visual team.Business LeaderDevelop and execute the brand's retail strategiesLocal market knowledge of clientele base and brand competitorsAware of business trends that relate to the success of the store and brandDemonstrate strong business acumen through KPI's to develop and support business driving strategiesLead team by leveraging company tools, incentives & strategies to support meeting sales goalsPeople LeaderEnsure that the store team exudes Alo's mission and guiding principles to effectively communicate to our guests who we are, what we do and why we do what we doFosters an environment of growth, accountability and inclusivity through development, performance management, training and consistent coachingConducts ongoing talent analysis of colleagues and establish career progression plans for key players and positions to result in retention of best talent and turnover reductionEstablish internal & external pipeline through succession planning and recruitment strategyOperations LeaderPartner with Operations & Visual Manager to maximize inventory accuracy and ensure replenishment needs are metOversee and support execution of key operational and visual guidelinesChampion strong visual standards for the salesfloor by leveraging business performance dataSupport a safe work environment and efficient operationDevelop schedules that deliver business results while maintaining labor effectivelyFlow Experience LeaderCollaborate with cross-functional business partners to support organizational goalsIs an ALO ambassador and creates a culture that aligns with our missionDemonstrate an ability to navigate the organization with a balance of business need and brand cultureCreate and implement effective communication strategies throughout store to achieve goals and KPI'sGeneral Manager Qualifications7+ years of retail or related industry leadership experienceWorking knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenHighly Motivated by driving business in a fast-paced, innovative environmentBusiness owner mindset with an entrepreneurial spiritIndependent work ethic, time management skills, and personal accountabilityAligns with and embodies Alo's guiding principlesRequires constant movement in and around all areas of storeAbility to lift, push, carry or otherwise move up to 50 poundsAbility to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladderAbility to stand and move for an entire shiftGeneral Manager ScheduleTo build a balanced schedule that supports the needs of the business and our teams, we expect all full-time employees to have open availability and are expected to work variable shifts including peak days and weekends. Please also note, General Managers are eligible to participate in the Company's Monthly Store Incentive which may result in bringing the total compensation to a higher range.
