Human Resources Business Partner - LG Chem-Uniseal
LG Chem - Uniseal is actively searching for a Human Resources Business Partner who will provide a full range of HR functions to support the day to day operations and establish the necessary standard operating procedures to align with federal, state and local laws. The incoming will need to be a generalist with extensive experience within a manufacturing setting and knowledgeable of employee relations, hourly employee and labor relations, talent acquisition, payroll, new hire orientation, and coaching supervisors and managers. The Senior HR Manager is a “player/coach” who will be strategic while being hands-on to oversee and execute the day to day activities. This position will be based on-site at LG Chem-Uniseal in Evansville, IN, and will lead the HR team and function.
What You’ll Be Doing
Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):
Serve as a strategic business partner to senior leaders by understanding business strategies and long-term goals
Collaborate with Senior Leaders to prepare short and long-term work force and succession planning
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Mentor, support and guide HR team members to resolve employee and/or labor relations issues; conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations in cases of grievances, harassment, allegations of wrongdoing, terminations and employee concerns or EEOC issues.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Supervise payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transaction including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions
Evaluates employee performance and appraising their pay scale accordingly
Creates employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval and initiating activities
Supervise and review official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary slips and warning letters produced by HR team members
Advise supervisors and managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment and recommend needed changes
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Lead and supervise FMLA including the gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, designating leave as FMLA-qualifying, requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: What We’re Looking For
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business-related degree required, advanced degree is a plus

10+ years' experience leading the Human Resources functions such as Talent Management, Organizational Development, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Compliance, Hourly Employee and Labor Relations, Safety and Compensation and Benefits required.
5+years of experience working in a manufacturing facility required.
Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with SuccessFactors, ADP Workforce Now highly preferred.
Candidates must have leadership experience managing a team of direct reports.
Preferred Qualification/What We’d Like to See:

Proficiency in the use of PC and Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word etc.)
Ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
Experience with SAP ERP, ADP or other large system preferred
