Service Department AssistantAssist the service manager in maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the service department's operation within the dealership.Responsibilities:Fields inquiries to the Service DepartmentOpens work orders and maintains control until they are closed and invoicedMaintains the service library with current informationMaintains Service Department filing and recordsUpdates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work ordersMaintains accessories and supplies and prepares replacement ordersMay prepare Service Technician efficiency reportsMay process warranty and/or product improvement claims including calculating and submitting charges, and follow-upOther duties as assignedJob Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent experienceBasic knowledge of accounting practicesAbility to use Microsoft Office and internet functionsKnowledge of office proceduresGeneral understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferredBilingual preferred
