Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor an employment Visa.What You’ll Be Doing (We don’t love the bullet points, but we love the work!)As the Linux System Administrator, you'll get to be part of a team responsible for providing support for a large-scale Linux system including installation of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the compute, network, memory, and storage system components. In addition, the System Administrator shall maintain the system’s security posture, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.Required SkillsExperience using the Linux CLIExperience developing scripts using Bash/PythonExperience performing System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux cluster environmentGeneral technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage system componentsExperience with Red Hat Satellite systems management solutionFamiliarity using Splunk for ingesting, indexing, searching, monitoring, and analyzing big dataExperience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolutionExperience with distributed files systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFSExperience configuring and sustaining VMware ESXi/Virtualization environmentsExperience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) automation tools e.g., SaltStack, AnsibleExperience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and proceduresExperience using system monitoring tools such as HPE One View and NagiosExperience with containerization technologies such as DockerDesired SkillsExperience with container orchestration technologies such as KubernetesAppreciates a sense of humor and the occasional well-timed jokeRequirementsCertifications: Security +Fifteen (15) years' experience Bachelors in Technical Discipline or an additional 5 years' experience
