Corporate Controller- The Woodlands

A growing, multi-entity organization is conducting a confidential search for a Controller to lead its accounting operations and help scale a best-in-class finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accounting leader with a Big 4 foundation and a track record of steady career progression into leadership roles.This individual will partner closely with executive leadership and play a key role in financial reporting, process improvements, and strategic decision support.Key Responsibilities• Lead and continue building a high-performing accounting function across a multi-entity structure • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong internal controls • Review and present consolidated financial statements and business unit performance to executive leadership • Oversee complex accounting areas including revenue-related processes, reconciliations, and reporting workflows • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements • Establish and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners • Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational and strategic decisions • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement • Partner cross-functionally to improve financial processes and reporting transparency • Evaluate and improve systems, reporting tools, and accounting processes to drive efficiencyIdeal Background• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred) • Big 4 public accounting foundation required • 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience with clear career advancement • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise • Experience in complex or multi-entity environments preferred • Proven leadership experience with team development responsibility • Process improvement mindset with strong business partnership skillsSystems Experience• Advanced Excel required • ERP experience required Why This Role• High visibility position with executive interaction • Opportunity to build and improve processes in a growing organization • Leadership role with strong runway for continued growth • Competitive compensation and bonus potential
