Registered Nurse

Job Summary: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Pre-operative and Post-operative care (Phase II) within a hospital setting. The RN will provide direct patient care in both the main facility and the outpatient surgery pavilion, with an average daily census of 30 patients and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4.Location:Apple Valley, California, United StatesResponsibilities:- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to patients.- Perform patient assessments and monitoring.- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.- Document patient care accurately and timely in Epic.- Float between the main hospital and the outpatient surgery pavilion as needed.- Assist with patient preparation for procedures and recovery.Required Skills & Certifications:- Active Registered Nurse license.- Minimum of 1 year of experience directly in pre-operative, post-operative, or ambulatory surgery center.- ACLS certification.- BLS certification.- PALS certification.Preferred Skills & Certifications:- NIH Stroke Scale certification.Special Considerations:- Must be flexible and able to work variable shifts.- May need to float between the main hospital and the outpatient surgery pavilion.- All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and are subject to approval based on facility needs.- Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.Scheduling:- Variable shifts, Monday through Friday.
