Salary: $31.02 - $41.66 Hourly Location : 400 Colorado Avenue, Morris, MN Job Type: Full-Time Job Number: 2026-11 Department: Environmental Services Opening Date: 05/19/2026 Closing Date: 5/29/2026 4:00 PM Central Position Summary The purpose of this position is to support the County Administrator in administering County, State, and Federal regulations related to zoning, land use, solid waste, water planning, wetlands, subsurface sewage treatment systems (SSTS), and feedlot oversight. The position performs technical, compliance, and inspection duties but does not serve as the lead or department head for these programs. Knowledge Skills & Abilities Must be able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms, requires analytical abilities, physical requirements, and working condition expectations. Must have a valid driver's license. Minimum Credentials Two-Year associate's degree in a relevant field required. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and three to five years of experience in planning, environmental services, or related regulatory fields, or an equivalent combination preferred. Required certifications include demolition landfill, SSTS, and MPCA feedlot certification. Must be able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms, requires analytical abilities, physical requirements, and working condition expectations. Must have a valid driver's license. Travel to various County locations and throughout the State for various training related activities several times throughout the year. Personal Computer Competencies Must be able to operate a personal computer, proficient in Word and Excel and other job-specific software.
