Welder 2We are looking for a Welder 2 to join our team. A Welder is responsible for performing MIG welding, layout, tacking, fabrication and building functions in the manufacture of various products in accordance with product specifications.Job Title: Welder 2Location: Winsted, MNSalary Range: Welder 2: $25.50 32.00 per hour (Non-Exempt) (In compliance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, this range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.)Shift Schedule: 1st shift: Monday Thursday 5am - 3pm OR 2nd shift: Monday Thursday 3pm 1am OR Weekend shift: Friday Sunday 5am 5pmShift Differential: 1st shift - N/A, 2nd shift - $1.50/hour, Weekend shift - $2.50/hourAs a Welder 2, you will:Perform the following GMAW welds butt V single bevel and fillet welds on carbon steelProduce welds that pass visual inspectionCan perform necessary repairs that pass adhere to MMC Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and CWI inspection requirementsDemonstrates the ability to weld the above weld joints with either.045 and/or.062 diameter wiresRead and understand Millerbernd's WPS's select appropriate wire and shielding gas and weld within WPS weld parametersProficient in print reading and understands weld symbols and welding gaugesUse grinder or other appropriate tools to clean, smooth out, grind or finish parts as neededMonitor the production board and internal paperwork to perform tasks in the designated sequenceAccurately label all parts for routing to next operationEnter job data in production tracking systemUse crane, hoist, forklift or other material handling equipment to transport materials and product into and out of the work area as requiredMust be AWS GMAW certified - Welders employed with Millerbernd will have the opportunity to complete all weld certification requirements including AWS certifications within 14 days of employmentPerform work at the appropriate pace to maintain quality and productivity requirementsPerform MIG welding tasks to Welding Procedures Specifications (WPS) and CWI inspection requirementsLayout and tack to specificationsUse various machines to fabricate, build, and design productsRepair improperly welded pieces and fill holesCan perform necessary repairs that pass adhere to Millerbernd's Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and CWI inspection requirementsCan perform welds using following wire solid flux core and metal core as neededCan weld carbon, stainless steel as neededPerform carbon arc gouging and recognize when any and all defects have been removedPerforms prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as requiredWelders employed with Circular Products-Sauk Rapids location are required to obtain and maintain ASME certification requirementsRole Qualifications as a Welder 2:Successful completion of internal welding test is mandatoryPreferred candidates will have 3 years' experience in metal fabrication/welding experienceMIG Welding experience is requiredOther combinations of formal training and experience will be consideredProficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints, mechanical drawings, and weld symbolsAbility to operate hoists, cranes, and other powered industrial vehicles as neededAbility to operate various power and hand toolsKnowledge of weld positioners, turners, fixtures and equipmentAbility to perform basic shop math functionsAbility to electronically record production informationAbility to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork in EnglishAbility to work with others as part of a high-performance teamAbility to adapt to changing work prioritiesAble to work under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or proceduresAccurately use tape measure and precision measuring instrumentsOperational knowledge of Electric Plasma and Acetylene TorchProficient in welding techniques on flat, vertical and rotating planesJoin Millerbernd Manufacturing Where Your Career Can Take ShapeAbout Us: At Millerbernd, we don't just offer jobswe build careers.
