Principal Engineer AI Enablement
Position DescriptionAs a Principal Engineer, the right candidate will be a cornerstone of our engineering efforts, possessing in-depth expertise that bridges the gap between complex AI solutions and actionable business results. The role will encompass designing efficient, scalable solutions utilizing cloud services and the our financial client.ai platform.The right candidate will also need to mentor engineers and others that may join the squad for a specific use case. With experience in Analytics, Python, and AI, the role will be pivotal in ensuring that our financial client AI use cases remain aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.Reporting directly to one of the Directors of the AI factory; your insights, leadership, and technical prowess will guide our engineering efforts, balancing business value with feasibility.Become an integral part of our dynamic team, where your expertise will shape our technological trajectory and where continuous learning is not just encouraged but celebrated.Job ResponsibilitiesCollaboration: Forge strong ties with teams across Security, Enterprise Architecture, and the CIO application spectrum, ensuring seamless integrative efforts.Design & Implementation: Design and develop solutions that not only measure but also illuminate the intrinsic value of our service offerings.Compliance & Security: Always uphold an audit-ready stance, devising automation to affirm controls for security, compliance, and audit.Continuous Learning & Innovation: Remain abreast of technological trends, exuding a passion that drives continuous improvement, innovation, and the occasional calculated risk.Strategic Initiatives: Spearhead efforts aimed at refining our services and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals.Agile Collaboration: Promote a collaborative development ethos that harmonizes with Agile methodology, emphasizing inclusivity, contribution, and transparency.Technical Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Create detailed and clear technical documentation where needed to ensure knowledge dissemination, making complex concepts accessible to varied audiences.QualificationsPreferred Certifications: AWS, Python, SQLEducational Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.Experience5+ years crafting full stack solutions, either on-premises or within AWS.2+ years implementing cloud services or analogous business intelligence and analytics architectures.Demonstrated success in showcasing growth metrics to stakeholders in line with business directives.Comfortable engaging with executive and senior management, articulating technical strategies and results.Technical SkillsProficient in Python, Terraform, Git (GitLab), and AWS Cloud Services (specifically ECS Fargate, EC2, API Gateway, S3, Lambda).Familiarity with SQL, RDBMS databases, and AWS Cloud services such as Aurora and RDS.A solid grasp on APIs, JSON.In-depth understanding of AI principles, Prompt Engineering methodologies, and associated technologies.Experience in designing, deploying, and testing solutions.Additional SkillsA genuine passion for learning and adapting to emerging technologies.Experience with Schema/Data Structures is a plus.An understanding of UI/UX principles is a plus.
