Job Details – Mother/Baby RN / Travel Nurse Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,720 – $1,820 (travel nurse pay) Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) — Columbus, OH travel nursing / Ohio nursing jobs Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 31, 2026) Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:30) Hours per Week: 36 Unit: 40-bed inpatient postpartum unit (Family-Centered Care, Mother/Baby, couplet care) Patient Ratios: 3-4 dyads (6-8 patients) Parking: Multiple affordable and convenient options for travelers Required Qualifications – Postpartum Nurse / Mother Baby RN Minimum 2 years of postpartum or mother/baby nursing experience Valid RN license (compact or Ohio RN license required at time of submission) BLS certification (AHA) IV certification with IV start skills Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience preferred EPIC charting experience (electronic medical record experience) Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program Ability to pass EKG exam prior to start (telemetry interpretation required) Two professional references (one from manager/director or leadership recommended) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Previous travel nursing experience preferred Responsibilities – Postpartum Care & Newborn Care Provide comprehensive postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including couplet care and family-centered nursing Perform newborn assessments, metabolic screening, and phototherapy management Administer medications and IV antibiotics; start and maintain IVs Interpret telemetry and pass EKG exam prior to start Teach and support breastfeeding, circumcision care, and discharge education for parents Manage postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy-induced hypertension, and other postpartum complications Care for infants with NAS, low birth weight, and large for gestational age Float to units of similar acuity as needed within the organization Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services Benefits & Perks Competitive weekly pay for travel RN positions Supportive family-centered care team and experienced leadership Multiple affordable parking options for travel nurses Opportunity to work in Columbus, OH — vibrant city with parks, dining, and arts How to apply: Submit your resume, current RN license, BLS, IV certification, and two professional references.
