We’re looking for a well-rounded Senior DevSecOps Enigineer to join our growing team of DevSecOps and Cloud Infrastructure practitioners supporting the U.S. Air Force’s Unified Platform mission sets. Based in San Antonio, TX, Unified Platform brings together cross-functional teams of cybersecurity and software engineering professionals to deliver mission-critical capabilities. In this role, you'll contribute to automation and infrastructure, security implementation, technical compliance, incident response, CI/CD pipeline enhancement, and continuous improvement in support of cyber defense operations. Important Requirements:Must be local to San Antonio, TXMust be willing and able to work onsite in a SCIF environment as neededMust hold an active top secret (or higher) clearance Ideal candidates thrive on automating processes, implementing infrastructure as code, and leveraging secure, scalable cloud and containerization technologies. In this position, you can expect to:Design and implement automated build, test, and deployment processes leveraging DevSecOps best practices that align with DoD cybersecurity objectivesManage containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker to support cyber defense platformsPerform security hardening and performance tuning for EKS clusters in compliance with DoD and COSC guidelinesDevelop and maintain Helm charts for secure, repeatable Kubernetes deploymentsOptimize Kubernetes resource allocation and autoscaling configurations to support dynamic mission workloadsIntegrate security tools and continuous scanning practices into CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid delivery of hardened codeImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using tools like Terraform and AnsibleMaintain compliance with security controls per NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIGs, and the DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Reference DesignManage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on security, scalability, and reliabilityEnable automated pipelines that integrate security and operational requirements throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)Collaborate across development, security, and operations teams to drive COSC-aligned DevSecOps strategies and support cyber mission readiness As with any technical environment, the exact role responsibilities will evolve with the changing needs of our client. We are looking for versatile engineers who thrive on new challenges and can readily adapt to additional responsibilities beyond those listed above. Preferred Experience and Qualifications:Hands-on experience in areas such as CI/CD, DevSecOps, AWS Cloud Infrastructure, Kubernetes, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or automation for system administration and operationsStrong understanding of best practices for building secure services in Cloud-based IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environmentsStrong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to support deployment, troubleshooting, configuration, and interoperability in a high-security environmentFamiliarity with scripting languages such as Bash or PythonExperience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using tools like Packer, Terraform, Ansible, and HelmProficiency with Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) and other managed container servicesExperience implementing DoD cyber compliance frameworks and DevSecOps principles in secure environmentsExceptional communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, mission-focused team environmentStrong desire to continuously learn and growActive TS/SCI clearance requiredB.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience While we've outlined our ideal candidate, we recognize that talent comes in many forms.
