Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This full-time position is ideal for an experienced Special Education Teacher with a passion for supporting elementary students. The assignment runs through the 20252026 school year, beginning immediately and continuing until June 4, 2026. The role is based in Burnsville, MN, within an elementary school setting, offering 37.5 hours per week.Key Responsibilities:Deliver targeted academic instruction tailored to the needs of students with special education requirementsConduct mini-lessons emphasizing Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and literacy strategies to enhance student developmentManage and support a caseload of students, implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavioral plansCollaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create an inclusive learning environmentMonitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as neededQualifications:Bachelors Degree in Education or a related fieldValid PELSB Teaching LicenseRequired Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (EBD) LicenseMinimum of 2+ years of experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in elementary educationStrong understanding of SEL and literacy interventionsThis role provides an opportunity to make a significant impact on students academic and social growth within a supportive school community.
