Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description Position OverviewWe are actively hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our growing team for mixed general construction work in the Tulsa area. Qualified candidates will operate one or more of the following pieces of equipment: EquipmentOff-Road Truck | Excavator | Dozer | Grader | Skid Steer and a variety of equipmentWork TypeEarthwork and Utility ConstructionLocationTulsa, Oklahoma AreaEmploymentNon-Union, Full-TimeScheduleMonday–Friday (overtime available)Responsibilities• Safely operate a variety of equipment, excavator, dozer, motor grader, and/or skid steer and off-road truck equipment• Perform daily pre-operation inspections and complete equipment logs• Work in coordination with foremen, laborers, and site supervisors• Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies• Maintain awareness of underground utilities and job site hazards• Support grading, excavation, backfilling, site prep, and general earthwork tasks• Communicate clearly with crew and flag potential equipment issuesRequirements• Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience operating heavy equipment• Ability to read and interpret grade stakes, cut sheets, and basic site plans• Topcon experience preferred• Ability and willingness to perform labor in addition to operate equipment• Knowledge of OSHA excavation and trenching safety standards• Valid Oklahoma driver's license (CDL preferred)• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check• Reliable transportation to job sites• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Preferred Qualifications• Operator Certification or equivalent• Experience with underground utility work• GPS/grade control system experience (Trimble, Topcon, etc.)• CDL Class A or B licenseCompany DescriptionWilson Excavation, LLC is a civil construction business based in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area.
