Test Technician
The new hires will likely not possess many of the following skills but should have demonstrated the ability to acquire these skills.
1. Interpret customer test requirements into test standards and identify required test fixtures and equipment.
2. Interact with the machine shop to get the required specimens, fixtures etc. machined.
3. Setup the test equipment, perform necessary calibrations and conduct relevant tests.
4. Interact with the customer as needed, while running the tests.
5. Use relevant software to perform tests, starting from setup to technical report writing.
Required:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a STEM area, with basic math skills.
Must be comfortable using computers.
Must be comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Must be motivated to learn new equipment and procedures.
5. Must be comfortable with hands-on mechanical and/or electrical work.
Ability to read and follow blueprints and shop drawings.
Preferred:
The STEM degree is preferred in an engineering area.
Two or more years of experience is desirable, but not required.
Some experience in mechanical testing is desirable, but not required.
Use of CAD software to model geometries is a plus.
Must be team oriented, with collaboration skills.
Prefer people living within 20-30 miles from Triadelphia, WV.
