Compensation: Up to $32/hr. Tool Maker i.e., dies, jigs, fixtures and gauges from raw stock and purchased items. Diagnosing faults and repair damaged tooling. Performing regrinding of DMLS and Lapping plates. Work with maintenance to minimize downtime of machine repairs. Operating Manual and computer-controlled (CNC) machines (Lathes/Mills/Surface-Blanchard Grinders to achieve precise dimensions. Inspecting machined parts and tools using Precision Metrology instruments to ensure they meet specifications. Identifying issues with existing tools and developing solutions for modification or improvement. Ability to work with all areas in the manufacturing process Shift: 1st (7:00-3:15) / OT when available – Not Mandatory Additional Skills Preferred: Intermediate to Advanced Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge Shop Math skills Mechanical aptitude Takes Pride in Work, Craftmanship, Quality Driven Self-starter / team player Problem Solving and attention to detail Manual Operations knowledge Machine set-ups Read and follow Quality Procedures Experience in the Machine-tool field The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
