Employee is responsible to operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner to move raw materials or finished goods while maintaining the flow of products as assigned.Operate Forklift Safely Safely operate a forklift to transport materials and products throughout the manufacturing facility, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.Material Handling Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts or other material handling equipment as required.Inventory Control Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through proper documentation of materials handled and movements within the facility.Quality Assurance Handle materials and products with care to prevent damage and ensure product quality is maintained throughout handling and transportation processes.Equipment Maintenance Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any mechanical issues promptly to maintenance personnel.Compliance and Documentation Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Maintain accurate documentation related to forklift operations and material handling activities.Communication Collaborate with warehouse and production team members to coordinate material movements and fulfill production requirements. Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure smooth operations.Housekeeping Keep work areas clean and organized, including the forklift and storage areas, to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.Safety Awareness Follow all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness in the workplace. Attend safety training sessions and participate in safety improvement initiatives as required.Problem Solving Identify and report any potential safety hazards, operational inefficiencies, or other issues that may affect production or safety.Adaptability Be flexible and willing to assist in other areas of production or warehouse operations as needed, beyond forklift driving duties.High School Diploma or Equivalent. Good attendance is critical. Must be willing and able to work any shift including overtime as needed with little or no notice.Must be able to obtain and sustain a forklift license issued from Flex N Gate within 30 days and sustain an excellent driving record.Previous Forklift experience required.Previous Shipping/Receiving experience preferred.Strong attention to detail and demonstrated good planning abilities.Proficient in mathematics, read and understand instructions.Good written and verbal communication skills. In this position, you will be performing various supporting tasks in a manufacturing setting. A strong work ethic, the ability to follow instructions and attention to detail are essential. No experience needed; we will train!Assembly OperatorsAssembly Operators are required to assemble the component part using the materials and tools provided in a predefined order and processThese positions may require the selection, manipulation, attachment of parts onto the vehicle or component using power or hand tools, lift assists, or other equipment and machineryLoaders/UnloadersLoaders and Unloaders are responsible for loading and unloading parts on the paint lines.Set up line as needed to hang partsPack parts according to customer specificationsInspect parts prior to hanging and after painting to ensure there are no defectsFinessersFinessers are expected to inspects parts to verify they meet customer specifications, and that proper identification (part number, quantity, color and destination) is present. Key duties includeScratch repair, dirt removal and repairing/removing other blemishes on partsBuffing/polishing parts. Complete daily paperwork.Clean and maintain all finesse areas.Must be willing to rotate on different jobsBe able to maintain an acceptable work pace throughout the day.Must be able to lift automotive parts up to 30 lbs, bending, reaching, twisting, and standing (90%) walk (10%)Responsible for his/her own quality of productMaintain a clean and safe work environment.Self-motivated reliable team player. Must be dependable, on time.Ability to work with minimum supervision.Ability to learn new skills and behaviors.Must be able to read, write, walk, bend, carry, inspect, stoop, reach, twist, and stand intermittently.Must be able to work 40 hr schedule, plus mandatory overtime and possible weekends, as required per production needs.
