This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone with retail management experience who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is passionate about team development and operational excellence. *Responsibilities* * Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management. * Lead and motivate the retail sales team to achieve sales targets through effective coaching, training, and supervision. * Manage employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting efforts, and onboarding processes to build a strong, customer-focused team. * Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining high standards of communication skills. * Oversee inventory control, merchandising, stocking, pricing strategies, and purchasing to optimize product availability and presentation. * Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, refunds, and returns while ensuring accurate bookkeeping and payroll processing. * Supervise shift management activities including scheduling, supervising staff performance, and maintaining operational standards. * Implement operational management practices that enhance store efficiency while adhering to budgetary guidelines. * Conduct regular training & development sessions to enhance team skills in retail math, cashiering, phone etiquette, and customer service excellence. * Maintain organizational skills to ensure the store remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations. *Experience* * Proven assistant manager or supervisory experience within the retail industry is essential. * Demonstrated success in retail sales management with a strong understanding of retail math and inventory control techniques. * Experience with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic bookkeeping is required. * Strong leadership skills with a track record of supervising teams effectively in a fast-paced environment. * Knowledge of grocery store operations or similar retail sectors is highly desirable. * Multilingual or bilingual abilities are considered an asset for serving diverse customer bases. * Excellent communication skills paired with organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities seamlessly.
